I hope you made a gratitude table cloth with your children the first time it was a weekly tip. If you did, that’s great, and now it’s time to make another one. If you didn’t, or you’ve recently found us, now is the perfect time to make your first gratitude table cloth with your children!

Here’s the thing with all of our weekly tips for getting happier and more grateful children. First and foremost, you have to do them to get the benefit of them. Secondly, all of the tips will be repeated throughout the year.

We do this for several reasons. We know moms and dads are busy and maybe you didn’t get to a few of the weekly tips when they came out. That’s okay, one of the reasons we repeat them is so that you don’t stress if you miss one because you’ll know that you’ll see it again! Also, reinforcing different tips, tools and ideas is a good thing when teaching our children anything.

Plus, we all change and grow and the more you do these tips, tools and ideas, the greater the impact they’ll have on you and your children and the more meaningful they’ll be.

So, watch the video and then get the super simple directions below for making your first, or second, gratitude table cloth!

Here is a recap and summary:

Here’s a super simple and fun tip for getting more grateful children fast no matter how busy you are or your family is:

Make a Gratitude Table Cloth

A Gratitude Table Cloth is super simple and fun to make, it brings the whole family together, and it helps everyone focus on what they’re grateful for.

It's starting to fill up!

It’s starting to fill up!

We’re busy, our children are busy and often we forget to stop and feel grateful for the many things we all have in our lives to appreciate. A Gratitude Table Cloth helps you and your children focus your thoughts and awareness on the many things you have to be grateful for.

Here’s how to do it:

Step 1 Get Ready

Gather your supplies: A disposable table cloth (from the grocery store or party supply store),markers and any other art supplies you want, or are willing to let your children use!

Step 2 Get Set

Open the table cloth, put it on the table where you will be making your Gratitude Table Cloth, put the other art supplies out and gather the troops!

Step 3 Go!

Have everyone write down what they’re grateful for. They can also draw pictures. Be creative and remember, the sky is the limit and there is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to do this.

Step 4 Keep it Going

Watch the video for some fun ideas for what to do with your Gratitude Table Cloth once you’ve made it like: Keep adding to it, put it up on a wall, take a picture of it and make a family keepsake.

Thanks so much for being here, for being a Mom or Dad and for everything you do each and every day to be the best one you can be.

We can have happier and more grateful children.

We can be happier and more grateful ourselves.

We can change the world one child, and one family at a time, starting with our own.

Thanks so much and I’ll see you next time!

p.s. Here is a picture of two of the table cloths we have used in the past. One was an accident because I thought I was buying the paper one I usually get but it turned out to be plastic. It was a great mistake though because we found the plastic one was a little easier to write on.
