Get happier & more grateful children this week, and be happier and more grateful yourself, with this week’s tip for busy moms and dads:
Teach your children the importance of having 3:1, 5:1 or more positive interactions and feelings for every one ‘negative’ or not so positive feeling or interaction with others.
This is Part 2 of the tip. Remember that last week we applied this positivity ratio to our interactions with, and feelings towards others. This week it’s all about teaching our children to do the same thing!
Last week I showed you how and why it’s important, so if you missed that episode, watch it now at http://cherifogarty.com/positivity-and-gratitude-part-1/
Basically, when we have more positive interactions with people and have more positive feelings towards other people, than we have negative feelings or interactions, it’s pretty much common sense that our relationships with those people will improve!
When we take the time to consciously do this, we will end up with happier, better connected relationships which in turn will make us happier too!
Be sure to watch the video below to learn how to teach your children to do this too and how it brings more gratitude and happiness into our lives and theirs!
Also, remember that being grateful and appreciative, and showing it to others, is one of the best ways to increase our positivity ratio with others.
Ok, now it’s your turn. If you want the benefit of this tip for you and for your children, you have to actually do the tip this week! Remember, that knowing it, and doing it, are two very different things!
After a few days be sure to come back and let us know in the comments below how this tip is working in your busy family!
Thanks so much for being here, for being a mom or dad, and for everything you do each and every day to be the best one you can be. It’s a lot and I honor you for everything you do to raise happy, grateful children!
Because we can have happier & more grateful children.
We can be happier & more grateful ourselves.
And we can, and we are, changing the world, one child and one family at a time, starting with our own!
Thanks for watching and I’ll see you next time.
